Ice Cream, Waffles and Coffee… 3 things I associate very closely with Ice Cream Parlours… After all, they are basic menu offerings at any respectable Ice cream Parlour. So far, the best Ice Cream with waffles I have ever tasted is the Fat Cat Charcoal Waffles with Vanilla Ice Cream. But, my sister, obviously thought one of her favourite Ice Cream haunts, Creamier serves better Ice Cream and Waffles than Fat Cat.
Creamier, owned by another Ice Cream Cafe, the Sunday Folks… Boasts a wide array of handcrafted Ice Cream and Coffee… Well, I can’t disagree in terms of their many choices of Ice Cream, but unfortunately, this Coffee Aficionado wasn’t able to sample their coffee as it was evening when me and my family visited Creamier…
Also, Creamier always seems to be very busy and crowded at times… So, go at non peak hours if you just want to sit down and relax with Ice Cream and a cup of coffee!
This is their Ice Cream with Waffles ($10.00 for two scoops with Waffles). The two flavours are Earl Grey and Green Tea Matcha. I was rather impressed by the Earl Grey Ice Cream as it had very strong flavour and aroma, one would expect only in a cup of Earl Grey tea. The Green Tea Matcha was ok, would have preferred a stronger Green Tea taste, but both Ice Cream flavour were Creamier and not overly-sweet.
The waffle itself was quite nice, with a crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior. Served with a chocolate sauce underneath and two scoops of Ice Cream… It would be impossible not to like it to a certain delicious extent!
In conclusion, Creamier definitely lives up to their name is serving good Ice Cream and Waffles… But, in my opinion, it wasn’t good enough to beat the Fat Cat waffles, but with such a high reputation and a huge customers fanbase… They won’t have to worry too much!
